SnipSheet privacy policy

SnipSheet is a browser extension that turns a screenshot of a table into a spreadsheet. This policy explains exactly what data it handles.

What we process

The area you select. When you click “Extract table”, only the part of the screenshot you drew a box around is sent to our server. A screenshot of the current tab is taken only when you click the SnipSheet button or press its keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+S), and nothing is sent anywhere until you click “Extract table”.
A random install ID. Created when you install the extension so we can count your free conversions. It is not linked to your name, email or browser profile.
Your IP address, used only to limit abuse of the free tier. We never store it: we keep only a one-way hash of the IP combined with the date, which can’t be turned back into your IP and changes every day.

The selected image is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to read the table, and the result is sent straight back to you. We do not store the image or the table on our servers, and we do not log their contents.
Anthropic processes the image under its commercial API terms, which do not allow it to use API inputs to train its models. Anthropic may keep API inputs for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring, as described in Anthropic’s privacy policy.
We store a count of conversions for the current month per install ID, and a daily count per hashed IP. We also keep anonymous daily totals (for example, how many tables were read that day, and how often each export option such as Excel or Google Sheets is used) to understand how the service is used. Nothing else.
The finished spreadsheet is created inside your browser. Edits you make to the table never leave your computer.

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles VAT. We never see your card details.
To check that your Pro license is valid, the license key you enter is sent to Lemon Squeezy. We store only a one-way hash of the key together with your monthly usage count.
Your license key is stored in your browser so you don’t have to enter it again. You can remove it at any time from the Pro menu.

We don’t sell or share your data, use it for advertising, or build profiles.
We don’t read the pages you visit. The extension only takes a screenshot when you click its button.
